Chile woke up

On October 18 of this year Chile got bored with the abuses and finally got its voice out. Years of injustice motivated hundreds of people to take to the streets to show their anger. When I measured the magnitude of what was happening I felt hope, I thought there would finally be changes. Although, as I mentioned in other posts, I am a student of social work and I think I was very aware of the inequality that existed in the country, nevertheless, I was surprised to see the Chileans so determined and united by the same objective. As the days went by, I began to feel anguish; the military in the streets, police using weapons without mercy against the people, disappeared, dead, and the television programs showing burglaries and fires all days, made me feel very afraid and saddened by the high levels of violence reached in such a short time.
