CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

The social work career was closed during the military regime and reopened five years ago, so you could say it is a new career. It’s in a "formation" stage. During the time I have been studying, there have been several changes in the program, have eliminated some subjects and added new ones, always thinking about achieving a more integral education for all students. It's something I understand, when I applied I was clear that this could happen and I didn't care. However, I think that now that I am about to graduate, I have been a little affected by the disorganization and "uncertainty". It is not very clear how the degree or diploma process is going to be carried out, the deadlines are always changing and when you look for guidance everyone tells you different things.

I like my career very much, I feel the subjects I have had have been very useful and interesting, I have had very good teachers and I have learned a lot. But I think the social work department is a bit of a mess, I know that few people work there and I think they may have a lot to do and little time to organize. That's constructive criticism I'd make of my career. I hope this will be solved soon, maybe not for my generation but for the ones that have been integrating. We all arrived at the university very excited and it is discouraging to find these management problems (which have a quick solution).
